project update!

after many thought modifications, my project is coming together a bit more...I changed the mountains, sky, and foreground images so that there is more space for the tribal figures to be dancing around. For a while I wanted to have breakdancing figures as well but I decided the scene would be more unified if I kept it constrained to these tribal members, I might add a couple more after this.

This is what I have so far for our song project using photoshop. I chose the 18 minute long song titled "The echo of the future." The overall scene that I want to convey is a bunch of odd tribal/masked figures dancing around a fire in the desert

The art of Skinner

This artist is one that I have been a fan of for a couple years. I discovered him in a magazine called Hi Fructose, and truly related to his crazy style. I was also thinking about sampling one of these images for my photoshop song project.

Homework assignment with vector masks

Took what I learned from class and applied to my homework assignment, went very smoothly, I feel that I am getting more comfortable with photoshop now. Excited to learn more tomorrow!

attempt at using Vector masks

My first attempt at using vector masks. This class assignment went fairly well, and was thoroughly enjoyable.

first photoshop attempt

This is my first time ever using photoshop, surprisingly enough these photos took me like 7 hours to do because I was having a really hard time figuring out the secret to using layers. The image on the left is supposed to be dark and moody. The image on the right is supposed to be trippy and happy. I realized the day after I made them that they both involved trees haha
